The WIND-projekt Ingenieur- und Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft (WIND-projekt) works for more than 20 years in the field of renewable energies and storage technologies and operates numerous wind farms mainly in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The company is particularly proud of the energy storage plant in Grapzow close to Neubrandenburg, which has received a federal funding due to its innovative approach. This energy storage systems allows to store surplus electrical wind energy in the form of hydrogen and to reconverted this hydrogen back to electrical energy CO2-free on demand via cogeneration units.
WIND-projekt has taken one step further now and has chosen mobility as an additional use for the produced renewable hydrogen to integrate the renewable energies into the mobility sector. WIND-projekt has chosen to include a Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell as test vehicle into its corporate fleet, which will use renewable hydrogen as fuel. The following website will inform about this hydrogen car and the experiences of WIND-projekt with it.
