WIND-projekt participates at the solar rally on the edge of the climate conference “Not yet at the limit – energy efficiency and electromobility in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern“with the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell

08.09.2015 - Wismar / Wietow

In cooperation with the Solarinitiative MV e.V. the Ministry of Energy, Infrastructure and Regional Development invited to a climate conference in Wismar and Wietow. The focus of the conference were the issues of energy efficiency and electromobility in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Numerous representatives of municipalities, companies, organizations and associations discussed about fundamental considerations for climate protection and energy policy. In following specific thematic blocks to energy efficiency and electromobility, they dedicated what has been achieved, the potentials and the targets in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. WIND-projekt used the opportunity to present the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell to the participants and guests of the conference. The hydrogen-powered vehicle represented a special feature among the present purely battery-powered vehicles of various manufacturers. Numerous discussions about the technology of the vehicle and the hydrogen mobility were performed. A highlight of the event was a solar rally on 08.09.2015 in which many electric vehicles, as well as the Hyundai ix35 Fuel Cell participated. The vehicles started from the Solarzentrum Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Wietow. The destination was the city of Schwerin to bring the electric- and hydrogen mobility closer to the inhabitants of Schwerin. On site a number of local residents used the opportunity to get information about the vehicles. Even Mrs Ulbrich (Secretary of State for Energy, Infrastructure and Regional Development) welcomed the rally participants. In personal conversations, she received an insight into the technology of the vehicles. The large interest has shown that the population is open for the electromobility and there has been a rethinking in the minds of the society.
