On Friday, the 17^th of April the time had finally come: Carlo Schmidt, CEO of WIND-projekt was able to pick up the ix35 Fuel Cell. This handover was special to WIND-projekt as well as to the Autohaus Brandt since this ix35 Fuel Cell is the very first registered hydrogen car in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The motor system is based on a Fuel Cell, which sets free electrical energy by the reaction of hydrogen and oxygen which powers a three-phase asynchronous motor. The electric motor then converts the electrical energy into mechanical torque. The advantage of this innovative technology is, that no CO₂ is emitted at all, merely water vapour is the only exhaust gas.
